外国语学院简介

　　外国语学院(School of International Studies)现有本科及专科两个层次的专业，同时还承担了全校各专业各层次的大学外语(英、日、法、西、韩)及雅思基础阶段的教学任务。

　　The School of International Studies offers two academic programs: undergraduate and vocational-level programs. It also undertakes the teaching of college foreign languages (English, Japanese, French, Spanish and Korean) at all levels for all majors across the university, as well as the foundational IELTS courses.

　　学院英语专业本科为师范和翻译两个方向、专科为商务英语专业。

　　The undergraduate programs for English majors include English Education and English Translation, and the vocational-level program is Business English.

　　外国语学院按照学校“两型三化”的办学定位，致力于培养本专业高素质应用型人才，即具备熟练外语运用技能、跨文化交际能力、思辨和持续学习能力、学科融合能力；并具有一定的研究能力和信息技术应用能力的外语类宽口径人才。同时，学院顺应新文科的学科发展大势，在人才培养中积极推进辅修专业和微专业，赋能学生核心竞争力，使之有更好的社会适应能力和专业发展潜势。目前学院正积极准备迎接教育部的师范认证，为专业建设和人才培养搭建更好的平台。

　　SIS, under the principle of "Two Orientations (application & business creation) and Three Styles (international, individual, intelligent)" of CDCAS, is committed to cultivating high-quality application-oriented professionals. These professionals are proficient in foreign language application, cross-cultural communication, critical thinking, lifelong learning and interdisciplinary integration, and possess certain research capabilities and information technology application capabilities. Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the development trend of New Liberal Arts, SIS actively promotes minor majors and micro-majors in talent training to empower students with core competitiveness, enabling them to have better social adaptability and professional development potential. Currently, SIS is fully preparing for the teacher certification by the Ministry of Education to build a better platform for professional construction and talent cultivation.

　　我院毕业生就业率历年均达96%，2025届毕业生就业去向落实率更达到了97.64%，获得学校“2025年度就业工作先进集体”荣誉称号。就业走向主要为省内外各职业技术学校、中小学、翻译公司以及其他事业单位，从事教学、翻译、行政管理工作等。近年来，学院每年约有15%的应届和往届毕业生考入国内外多所高校攻读研究生，其中不乏四川大学、西南交通大学、西南财经大学、四川外国语大学、西南大学等国内知名985、211高校。同时，有不少学生进入爱丁堡、利物浦、昆士兰等世界名校升造读硕。英语专业八级通过率及考研升造率，在省内同类高校中均名列前茅。

　　The employment rate of graduates from our school has remained at 96% annually on average, and the employment destination fulfillment rate of the 2025 graduates reached 97.64%, for which the school was awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Collective in Employment Work for 2025". Our graduates are mainly engaged in teaching, translation, administrative management and other work in vocational and technical schools, primary and secondary schools, translation companies and other public institutions at home and abroad. In recent years, about 15% of our fresh and former graduates are admitted to many universities at home and abroad for postgraduate studies each year, including well-known domestic 985 and 211 universities such as Sichuan University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan International Studies University and Southwest University. At the same time, many students pursue master's degrees in world-renowned universities such as the University of Edinburgh, the University of Liverpool and the University of Queensland. The pass rate of TEM-8 and the postgraduate admission rate of our English major are among the top in similar universities in Sichuan Province.

　　外国语学院拥有一直实力雄厚的师资队伍。现有教授3人，副教授 19 人。两位教师被聘为国内高校兼职硕导。1人获四川省十佳魅力教师荣誉，5人次获得学校及联盟教学名师称号，8人次获得学校十佳教师称号。12人次获全国高等院校英语教师教学基本功大赛国家级一等奖及全国高校外语课程思政大赛特等奖等。

　　SIS has a strong faculty team, including 3 professors and 19 associate professors. Two teachers are hired as part-time master's supervisors in domestic universities. One teacher has won the honor of "Top Ten Charming Teachers in Sichuan Province", 5 person-times have been awarded the title of "Famous Teacher of the University and Alliance", and 8 person-times have been awarded the title of "Top Ten Outstanding Teachers of the University". Twelve person-times have won the National First Prize in the National College English Teachers' Basic Teaching Skills Competition and the Grand Prize in the National College Foreign Language Curriculum Ideological and Political Competition, etc.

　　学院为四川省翻译协会副会长单位，中国高校外语慕课联盟单位，教育部教学科研一体化外语教学研究虚拟教研室成员单位。学院现有4门省级一流课程，1门省级课程思政示范课程。2024年教育厅本科专业监测评估中，我院“英语”专业被评为“优势专业”。另外，在武书连2025年全国民办大学专业排名中，我院英语专业在全国294所同类高校专业榜单中居第11位，获得A+专业等级。

　　SIS is the Vice President Unit of Sichuan Provincial Translation Association, a member unit of China University Foreign Language MOOC Alliance, and a member unit of the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Virtual Teaching and Research Office under the Ministry of Education's Teaching and Research Integration Program. The school currently has 4 provincial-level first-class courses and 1 provincial-level curriculum ideological and political demonstration course. In the 2024 undergraduate major monitoring and evaluation by the Provincial Department of Education, our "English" major was rated as an "Advantageous Major". In addition, in the 2025 National Ranking of Majors in Private Universities by Wu Shulian, the English major of our school ranks 11th among 294 similar university majors nationwide and has been awarded the A+ major level.
